داوود سهرابی، ورزشکار ۳۰ ساله اهل تهران، در تاریخ ۱۸ دی ۱۴۰۴ در جریان اعتراضات توسط نیروهای امنیتی هدف گلوله قرار گرفت. او به شدت مجروح شد و به کما رفت و پس از پنجاه روز، در تاریخ ۴ اسفند ۱۴۰۴ بر اثر شدت جراحات وارده جان باخت. خانوادهاش تصمیم به اهدای اعضای او گرفتند. گزارش شده است که او تنها دو ساعت پیش از مورد اصابت گلوله قرار گرفتن، مدال نقره یک مسابقه را کسب کرده بود.
